What is IB Film?

IB Film an art class part of the International Baccalaureate Programme. The IB is commonly compared to the AP system in the U.S. The IB is a two year high school programme (11th-12th grade). The IB’s mission is to “develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect”.
Do I have to be an IB student to submit?

As long as you were at one point enrolled in an IB film course, you can submit the films you made for that class.
Does it cost anything?

Submitting your films is completely free. We partner with FilmFreeway, a submission platform specifically built for film festivals.
How many films can I submit?

You can submit as many IB films as you want, as long as they are yours, and were made during the 2 year course.
When and where is the IB Film Festival?
​
The IB Film Festival will be hosted in Los Angeles, California at the International School of Los Angeles.
When will I be notified if I win?
The official selection is notified in November. The 7 winners for each category are notified and showcased in December.
